#XrisLogbook 189 - Routine, Reality, Rhythm π²πΊ
ππ» Mauritius started feeling a little less like a holiday and a little more like home. Lucy started her new school, which meant uniforms, school supplies and all those little rituals that suddenly make a move very real. We also caught up with friends who moved here for a year with their three children. Different stories, same experiment: figuring out how to build a life somewhere new.
ππ» Moving countries comes with a surprising amount of administration. We started the EDB process for my family, Cocoon Bay is getting closer to completion, and weβre still discovering all the small things that need fixing before a building becomes a home. Our belongings are arriving too (later than expected). Progress everywhere, completion nowhere quite yet. π
βπ» I held my first strategy committees from Mauritius this week. Apart from the time difference, and an Airbnb WiFi connection with its own strategic agenda, business carried on remarkably normally. Iβve even booked my first trip back to Europe for late September. Perhaps thatβs when moving somewhere really starts to feel real: not when work stops, but when you discover it can continue from somewhere else.
ππ» Special thanks this week to Karl , Antoine , romain
π§ One thought to take into the weekend:
A new life doesnβt begin when you arrive. It begins when the ordinary starts again.
